adidas and Foot Locker Europe had the challenge to create a cohesive through-the-line campaign that landed and translated across the key European markets of Germany, Italy, France and the United Kingdom for the ultra-breathable Climcacool VENTO trainer.

IN CASE OF SWEAT... BREAK GLASS

The universally identifiable 'break in case of emergency' box, usually used for fire extinguishers, became the key element as the Climcacool VENTO trainer saves the protagonists from hot and sweaty situations.

Scenarios included a hopeless romantic on a virtual date, an aspiring bedroom DJ, a football fanatic losing a video game and a BMX rider getting a flat tire. All of which ended with an influencer relevant to each region coming to the rescue with the CLIMACOOL VENTO to keep them cool.

The shoot took place amid worldwide restrictions in 2020 and was directed remotely alongside a trusted network of production partners and influencers - who shot some scenes themselves.

Alongside the successful digital and social campaign, we created supporting collateral that was rolled out in retail displays across Footlocker's European stores. We also sent seeding boxes to influencers using the same emergency box creative from the campaign. Due to its success and traction in Europe, Footlocker US also picked up the campaign.
