Following the success of the FW23 1,000 stories campaign, Adidas Originals and JD asked us to continue the storytelling for SS24 with Liverpool star Trent Alexander Arnold, multi-hyphenate Ocean Lewis, and French rising star musicians Ronisia and Zamdane.
We entered talent’s symbolic ‘backyards,’ capturing them in areas where they grew up, uncovering the moments and memories that shaped them to become the Originals they are today.

Trent’s early life was engulfed in football culture; his childhood home was a 10-minute drive from Anfield Stadium and less than a mile down the road from Liverpool’s then-training ground, Melwood. In Liverpool, football is much more than just a sport; it’s a way of life, and for Trent, all he has ever known. We travelled to his home city and closed down a street in the shadow of Anfield, recreating a scene from where he grew up.

After breaking through and etching himself in footballing history at such a young age, Trent Alexander-Arnold has been building his legacy as a leader on and off the pitch. Our creative connects to the youth communities he inspires through his work on the pitch and his upbringing where football was central.

East-London-based multi-hyphenate Ocean Lewis brings an eclectic mix of passions across football, fashion, and illustration. Headhunted from a semi-pro ladies’ football team into the world of modelling, she has travelled the world while always staying true to her art, which she finds the most personally rewarding. Recent movements have seen her create her own business as she continues to push herself creatively.
Ocean has never followed the herd; she’s only ever true to herself. We met with her in London, capturing her natural aura as she walked through a bustling Globe Street in London. She walks the streets of her city, observant of the world around her, always taking inspiration to continue being the original she is.

For Adidas Originals x JD France SS24, we brought together two rising stars of the French music scene to create content that felt authentic to their roots and leaned towards warmer textured stone colours for a European feel.

French music artist Ronisia is in the headphones of a generation. She started her career in 2019, initially gaining traction on TikTok, before signing to Epic Records. Her distinctive style of contemporary RnB and Afropop has made her one of the much-loved rising stars among Gen Z in France.

Zamdane is one of France’s best modern-day storytellers. His music inspires listeners with his emotional, personal journeys. After arriving in Marseille, France, from Marrakech, Morocco, during the summer of 2016 to study economics, he began to familiarise himself with the rap world, meeting producers and participating in open mics. Six albums later, he has firmly established himself among the French rap elite.
Our talent’s content was displayed in key areas related to their symbolic ‘backyards’ and beyond. London, Marseille, Berlin, Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, and Rome each saw significant media coverage. In the UK, Trent saw his creative take over Liverpool, with a giant OOH towering over the city, alongside a 360-wrapped bus regularly used by Liverpool FC fans on matchdays, launched in partnership with Edison Media.
